Parent Guide
FlyteSpace is a mental training and confidence-building app for young athletes. Here's how to get the most out of it as a parent.
What FlyteSpace is (and isn't)
It's a private space for your kid to check in with themselves, work on their mindset, track goals, and connect with a small circle of teammates they already know. It's not a social network — no public feeds, no follower counts, no comparison to strangers.
Set up your kid's profile
Each login is for one kid. You'll set their name, date of birth, sport, and level. If you have more than one kid, each one gets their own login — everything stays separate so each kid has their own private space. Kids can pick an avatar and theme to make it feel like theirs.
What your kid will use
- Daily mood check-ins: a one-minute log to build self-awareness.
- Mental training prompts: short exercises for nerves, balks, focus, and confidence.
- Pre- and post-practice rituals: a routine that helps kids show up ready and reflect after.
- Goals, skills & wishlist: a visible record of small wins, plus a wishlist of skills they're working toward.
- Competitions tracker: log meets and deductions so they can see progress over a season.
- Training journal: a private space to process practices and meets, with optional photo attachments.
- AI Coach: a supportive, age-appropriate chat trained to encourage — never to shame or diagnose.
- Weekly wraps: a Sunday recap of the week's habits, goals, and highlights.
Teammates & messages
Kids can add teammates by username or invite code. Direct messages only open after both sides accept a teammate request, and messages between kids are scanned for safety. If something concerning comes up, you'll get a parent alert on your dashboard — you never have to read every message to keep them safe.
Your parent dashboard
- Safety alerts: a private feed of anything the safety scanner flags for your kid.
- Invites: invite other parents so their kid can connect with yours.
- Delete account: permanently delete your account and your kids' accounts from the Danger Zone. Deleted content is removed from the app within 30 days.
How to support your kid
- Keep it low-pressure. The goal is consistency, not perfection.
- Ask open questions: "What was one good thing today?" instead of "How did practice go?"
- Celebrate the habit of checking in, not just the wins.
- Let your kid own their journal — it's their private space to think.
Building habits that lead to success
Confidence isn't something a kid is born with — it's built through small, repeated actions: showing up, reflecting, setting a goal, and trying again after a hard day. FlyteSpace is built to make those habits easy and natural.
